won’t you tell me what you’re thinking of? would you be an outlaw for my love? If it’s so, well, let me know.. If it’s “no”, well, I can go… I won’t make you

Volunteering in montreal was great, and living in the katima-house I stayed in on my first 48 hour break was also great! but the peek of this weekend was finishing a long morning of volunteer work, taking a quick beach trip on Monday, right before heading to sutton only to find out Hot Yoga wasn’t happening that night, and then having a mass grocery shopping experience, coming home, and jumping in the river. and then I saw fireflies for the very first time. I’m literally ALMOST completely caught up on my photographs, but I need to hurry because there’s only 29 days left!!! WTF I KNOW RIGHT!??? time goes by so fast when fun is being had. I’m excited to return home, but part of me wishes to stay. I wonder how this experience will look like on my resume…

these two (found in the previous photograph) are my boys from MGRC. I miss them a lot. although I lost contact with Andre (the big guy with long beautiful hair), I’ve managed to stay quite close to Joe, my brother from another mother/country/world, pretty much. he’s a sweetheart and I love him [:

A photograph I took in grade 9 or 10. this was a typical average day in the life of a high-schooler from MGRC. now French class was ridiculous to say the least. we flooded sinks, threw chock and erasers at the teacher while he tried giving lessons, we played the penis game, we lost the game (and so did you), and keeping ourselves busy doing shit-all. (from left to right) Andre, Cedric, Joe, Anjelica, and Jessy.

I’m feeling quite reminiscent today haha. Simon was a boy I dated in grade 10. this was taken about a year before that, I think. I met him in summer school, he was hanging out with a guy I went to elementary school with, and when I saw he smoked, I was immediately swoon by his grown-up attitude and hippy attire. at one point he took a trip to Egypt with his family, and bought me a beautiful scarf (I still own, and wear occasionally) he was a sweet guy, but I just couldn’t take him seriously. we ended once school began.

this was taken on the day of my Prom. I was taking a photograph (obviously) of this gorgeous lady, Jo-Hannah. I miss her dearly and hope to see her soon, whether I go to France or she comes back home. I will see you soon, love <3

I love going through peoples old photographs.. especially ones that I happen to be in. this was taken in 1996 or ‘97, Georges-Etienne-Cartier, Catholic elementary school.
this was my class, grade 2. If you look closely, see the little blonde in the front with the huge smile? yup. you got it. (;

katima-currently…

alright so. last week we gave up electricity/electronics in the house all week, and then went on a canoe trip from Saturday morning till last night. I’m dead tired and bruised up good, but so happy to have made such amazing memories. it was absolutely breathtakingly beautiful. I even tipped! that was fun. and cold. as shit. my cellphone is finished, but my camera was double bagged and still working! my baby has been through a lot with me..

first I’d like to say HAPPY (belated) MUTHERS DAY and congratulations on your 25 wedding anniversary to my mum and dad (:

have I mentioned that I have 35 days left? scary.

April 30th:

A week has passed since our final 48 hour break (in montreal), and I still don’t feel 100% recuperated. last week I was house manager, and boy did we make a lot of food. left overs for this weeks house mangers (your welcome!!) and the house was kept neat and tidy. earlier on this week we attended a small seminar about nutrition and good habits. we watched a documentary called Food Matter; “Let thy Food be thy Medicine and thy Medicine be thy Food” - Hippocrates. It was very interesting and worth watching! I’m not saying you should believe every word, but they make some good points and it definitely doesn’t hurt to take better care of yourself, right?

oh, did I mention it was snowing saturday? A good few inches in fact. lovely, but frustrating because we had plans that had to be changed last minute (wouldn’t be a problem if it weren’t for the fact that we have a bad habit of not following through with plans). oh well, it was a fantastic weekend over all.

I am now at work, feels like forever since I’ve been here.I was also reminded multiple times about my drastic hair change. it’s been “ooooh, you’re so pretty!” or “it suits you so well!” or my favourite “what have you done!?”, all morning hahaha.

50 days to go!
